· Club finances remain in good order. The 2007 accounts were presented by Ken Saxton and approved. · John Bowles, Sheila Hughes, and Bob Morley stood down from the Committee after many years of dedicated service. The AGM thanked them all for their invaluable contribution.· New Committee is elected as: Ken Saxton (Chairman), Malcolm White (Secretary), Mike Allen (Treasurer), Nigel Amor (Club Shop) and new Committee members Brian Barker and Phil Boulter. · Subscriptions and door fees remain unchanged for 2008. · Those organising the door and monthly competition agreed to continue for 2008. · The new WivaMac lathe is up and running. · Times
for the Saturday Workshops were changed to · Derrick Moate won the Reg Bailey Cup for 2008 with a matching pair of large hollowed vases with carved handles (see photo). |
